Many of us know that if we take the train compared to a plane we can reduce our GHG emissions per passenger by anywhere between 70 and 90%. Ironically the weekend's severe weather in the UK disrupted many of the north/south overhead power cables used to power the trains. This in turn stranded many passengers in London Euston station trying to get to Glasgow for the start of the COP26 Climate Change Summit.
